Consultant Experience; 1984 to present

Authored Impact/2000 a year 2000 analysis and conversion tool.
Wrote a Retail Point of Sale application with Inventory tracking capabilities.

Wrote an Inventory Control application, which can be utilized by any kind of business, including retail, wholesale, manufacturing and multi-level marketing.

Provided expert witness testimony in a civil suit involving a software copyright infringement.
Wrote a Multi-level Marketing application for the AS/400.
Wrote an A/P application which matches receiving slips with invoices and generates automatic payments.
Other recent projects written for the AS/400 include: an order entry application; a multi-terminal conferencing application; a report writing application.
Experience also includes: conversion of S/36 applications to an AS/400; conversion of S/38 to an AS/400; conversion of a S/3 to a S/38; numerous accounting applications; medical and dental applications; and many other applications.

Employment Experience (prior to opening Bekemeier & Associates in 1984)

May 1974 until December 1984        DP Manager of Southeast Data Center - San Diego, Ca.,

I was responsible for all programming and application designs, first on an IBM S/3 then beginning in January 1981 on an IBM S/38. Applications included: Medical/Dental billing and receivables; Payroll; Accounts Payable; General Ledger; Pharmacy prescription and billing software; as well as numerous applications for internal job cost accounting and billing. These applications were rewritten for the IBM S/38 using RPGIII in 1981.

 

July 1970 to July 1974                      United States Navy

Served four years in the US Navy working with a variety of computer applications and equipment. Received a Letter of Commendation from the Navy for computer work while engaged in combat operations aboard the USS Providence in 1972.
